A Quick Reminder:
Before you dive into styling your short faux locs, it’s essential to set the stage with well-prepped hair. Start by ensuring your hair is clean and thoroughly moisturised. Trust me, taking this time for prep will make sectioning and styling your locs a breeze.
Now, here  are four unique and easy ways to style your short faux locs that will have you feeling fabulous and confident. Discover your new favourite looks today.
1) Half Up Bun
Section Your Hair: Part your hair horizontally about halfway down and clip the bottom section away.
Gather the Top Section: Collect the locs from the top half and smooth them out.
Secure the Half-Up Section: Use a hair tie or scrunchie to secure the gathered locs into a ponytail or bun.
Adjust for Volume: Gently pull on the sides for added volume and smooth any flyaways with gel if needed for the cutest edges.
Style the Loose Locs: Let the bottom locs hang freely for a playful touch.
2) The Mini Buns
Create a Middle Part:
Part your locs into two equal parts with a straight middle part from your forehead to the nape of your neck, ensuring it’s even.
Section Out the Front Locs:
From the front of your head, section out five locs in the centre part. These locs will remain loose and be styled later. Clip them away to keep them separate.
Gather the Side Sections:
Take the remaining hair on each side of the part and smooth it back towards your ears.
Form the Mini Buns:
Twist each side section of hair and secure them into two mini buns using hair ties or scrunchies. Position the buns high or low, depending on your preference.
Style the Remaining Hair:
Let the back of your hair hang loose, creating a beautiful contrast with the mini buns and the front locs.
3) Side-Parted Mini Buns
Create a front side part:
Part your hair to one side, ensuring a smooth and even section for a flattering frame around your face.
Section for mini buns:
Take a small section of locs from each side of the part to use for the mini buns.
Form the mini buns:
Twist each section of hair and secure them into two mini buns using hair ties or scrunchies. Position the buns based on your preference (high or low).
Leave the back loose:
Allow the remaining hair in the back to hang freely, showcasing your beautiful faux locs.
Adjust and style:
Gently fluff the mini buns and adjust any loose locs in the front to create the desired look.
4) Side Wrapped, Centered Look

Create the Middle Part: Begin by parting the hair neatly down the center of your head to create a clean and polished middle part.

Section Out Faux Locs for the Face Frame: From the middle part, leave out five strands of faux locs on each side of your head. These strands will frame your face, so ensure they are even on both sides.

Gather the Remaining Faux Locs: On each side of your head, gather the rest of the faux locs, leaving out the five front strands that frame the face.

Wrap the Left Side: Take the gathered section of faux locs on the left side. Carefully wrap this section around the two front strands of faux locs that you left out on the left side. Secure this wrapped section with a hair tie to keep the look tidy and chic.

Wrap the Right Side: Repeat the process on the right side of your head. Take the gathered locs and wrap them around the two front strands of faux locs on the right side. Secure this wrapped section with a hair tie, ensuring it looks symmetrical to the left side.

Final Touch: Adjust the front strands of faux locs to frame your face elegantly. Leave the remaining locs at the back loose, creating a soft and relaxed look.

Check the Overall Style: Ensure both sides are even, and the wrapped sections are secured. The final look should have two wrapped sections on either side of your head, with the front strands framing your face and the back locs falling naturally.

To finish off your look, try smoothing down your edges with some gel for a polished touch, or add some colourful beads and charms to your faux locs for a playful and personalised vibe that really reflects your style.
